November 20th-26th is Pilgrims Bounty, which is the in game equivalent to Thanksgiving.  Among the activities which occur are cooking, eating and sharing food, food fights, and turkey hunting.  The event is a great way to level up cooking and acquire additional recipes for the Iron Chef achievement.
